First visit to a new barbershop is always a little uncertain. Here's how it goes at Stamford Barbershop so you know what you're walking into.
Walk in and let the front know you're there. If there's a wait, they'll tell you how long. Take a seat and the next barber will call you up. No check-in app, no kiosk, just a conversation.
Once you're in the chair, tell the barber what you want. Be specific about length on top, how you part your hair, and how short to go on the sides. If you have a photo, show it. Mention anything you don't like, like a previous cut that went too short.
The barber will check in during the cut, especially before the fade line or the neckline. That's the moment to speak up. Small corrections mid-cut are normal and expected.
At the end, they'll show you the back with a mirror. If something needs a touch-up, say so before you leave the chair. Fixing a line or blending an edge takes thirty seconds.
Pay at the front when you're done. Cash and card both work. The shop is at 791 E Main St, open 9 AM to 8:30 PM six days a week, and 9 to 5 on Sundays.
